Description
Sony FX5 is a professional full-frame Cinema Line camera designed for feature films, commercials, documentaries, music videos, television, and high-end content production. It features a newly developed 5K full-frame fully stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR2 processor with integrated AI processing, delivering excellent image quality, fast readout, low noise, and more than 15 stops of latitude in S-Log3.
One of the FX5’s major advantages is its Open Gate recording and internal 16-bit X-OCN RAW recording, giving filmmakers greater flexibility for professional post-production and reframing. It can record up to 5K 120fps and 4K 240fps for high-quality slow-motion footage.
The camera also features advanced AI-based autofocus with up to 759 phase-detection AF points, Real-Time Eye AF, S-Cinetone, S-Log3, anamorphic de-squeeze support, and a 3.5-inch 4-axis multi-angle monitor. Its compact Cinema Line body makes it suitable for handheld, gimbal, shoulder-rig, and fully rigged professional setups.
