As part of Sigma’s renowned Art series, the lens is designed to deliver outstanding sharpness, contrast, and detail. Its optical construction includes 13 elements in 8 groups, incorporating one aspherical element and three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements to help control chromatic aberration and maintain high image quality throughout the frame.
The Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) provides fast and quiet autofocus, while full-time manual focus allows precise focusing adjustments. The bright f/1.4 aperture creates a shallow depth of field with excellent subject isolation, while the 9-blade rounded diaphragm produces smooth and attractive bokeh.
