Canon RF 1200mm F8L IS USM is an ultra-professional L-series super-telephoto prime lens designed for Canon EOS R-series full-frame mirrorless cameras. With an exceptional 1200mm focal length, it provides enormous reach for wildlife, sports, aviation, nature, motorsports, and other long-distance subjects. Its powerful compression creates highly isolated subjects and beautifully soft backgrounds.
The lens features advanced optical construction with two Fluorite elements, one Super UD element, and one UD element, helping deliver exceptional sharpness, contrast, and control of chromatic aberration. Air Sphere Coating and Super Spectra Coating help minimize flare and ghosting for clean images even in challenging lighting conditions.
Built-in 4-stop Optical Image Stabilization with three IS modes helps compensate for camera shake, while the Ring-type USM focusing system provides precise autofocus. The lens also includes focus presets, Power Focus functionality, customizable controls, and dust- and drip-resistant L-series construction.
The RF 1200mm is also compatible with Canon’s RF 1.4x and RF 2x Extenders, extending its reach to an incredible 1680mm f/11 or 2400mm f/16 respectively.
