Rycote Microphone Windshield is a professional wind and handling-noise protection system designed for filmmaking, television, broadcast, documentaries, interviews, and professional location sound recording. Rycote systems combine windshield protection with advanced Lyre suspension technology to help reduce wind noise, handling noise, vibration, and cable-borne noise.
The system is designed for use with professional shotgun microphones and is available in different configurations depending on microphone size. Rycote’s Modular Windshield can provide up to 30 dB of wind-noise reduction, while adding a Windjammer can provide up to 50 dB of attenuation in suitable conditions.
